Christmas!

Christmas this year was fabulous! Allen was on call from 8:00 a.m. til about 2:00 p.m. but luckily he didn't get called in. Allen and I were more excited then the kids. We both woke up at about 6:00 a.m. around 7:00 a.m. I opened Carson's bedroom door and tiptoed in to see if he was really asleep, I left the door open and was trying to be noisy, around 7:30 he came running into our room to tell us that he heard Santa come in his room. He tried really hard to keep his eyes closed, but he knew it was Santa. We ended up waking Sleeping Beauty a couple of minutes

later because Carson couldn't wait any longer. She came walking out to the front room and saw her new dollhouse first. "My dollyhouse!!!" There wasn't any furniture in it, but she could've just played with it for an hour, opening and shutting doors and windows. That was her favorite present and then Carson's favorite was his race track, which is now broken. High quality stuff.

The Millers had their annual party on the 23rd. The Haslams were in charge this year and served hotdogs and sloppy joes. Allen showed up late because he had to work, but he got there just in time to see Santa Claus. Carson and Ellie had drawn pictures for him, but Carson totally forgot to give his to Santa because he was so excited. Ellie didn't want anything to do with Santa and just threw her picture to him to keep a safe distance. Grandma gave all her grandkids birdhouses and the great grandkids received snow hats and gloves. Carson got Lighting Mcqueen, which was perfect for him, and Ellie got one of Grandma's bags she makes out of plastic bags and shower curtains and then she got socks and cute gloves.

Christmas Evening we went to Mom and Dad's for a wonderful Christmas Dinner of honey baked ham, funeral potatoes, salads, and rolls. The kids got more presents! Caleb got a baby 4-wheeler and the boys were riding it all afternoon. Brynnlee got a kitten from Santa and that poor cat didn't get a lot of alone time all day.

Allen had the 26th off and the Ackersons all met up at the Cabin for a sledding party. Christy made bread bowls and soup for lunch that were so good. Allen took the kids up the hill a few times and I stayed below to watch. The cousins exchanged gifts with each other and the siblings exchanged gifts. Another exciting Christmas for us.
