Class Parties

Allen and I helped in Carson's class this year.  We played a donut game.  The kids held a donut by a string and fed each other.  It was a messy game.
Our cute skeleton feeding a cross dresser.
Our pretty Peacock.  I am not sure why she chose to be a peacock, but I learned how to face paint.
Molly dressed up as a cowgirl.  She hated the hat and ended up hiding it from us.

Ackerson Easter Party

We had most of the Ackersons over for our annual Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday. We served ham sandwiches and everyone brought a side to share. The ham was delish.
Getting ready for the hunt. The younger kids, 5 and younger, got to have a head start.

Finally it was the older kids' turn to take off.

We were lucky enough that the weather held out for us and that no one was using the small park across the street from us.

It wouldn't be a party without some sort of show put on by the girls.

Grandma and Grandpa Ackerson rode their bikes up for the party.

Gobble gobble

My mom went in for surgery again for her arm two days before Thanksgiving, so I volunteered to have Thanksgiving at our house this year. I got the turkey all ready and stuffed the stuffing and then Allen walked in a took over. I am not sure if I appreciated it or if it upset me.
Carson wanted one of the drumsticks. The kids both love their chicken, as they call it.

Mmmm...Pumpkin pie

Saturday night we got a pretty good snow storm and on Sunday Allen and the kids went out to build a snowman. I didn't take this picture until a couple of days later but it still looks alright.
