The second graders at Carson's school have been helping the Utah Pet Adoption Center this whole year. The kids put on this really cute play that the agency recorded and will possibly use to promote their cause. The kids were in groups of about 5 kids and they all had a talking part. Carson was a stray cat and his part was,"please give us some warm milk to drink." That morning he told me he was afraid he might get stage fright and forget his line. I was praying that he wouldn't. He did a great job.
The great thing about having a son is that you learn to do last minute things together. We learned about this assembly the night before and I showed up for it and saw all these other kids dressed in pet Halloween costumes. Not that he would've wore anything like that, but it would have been nice to know. Instead he had a paper mask that he decorated with crayons, he probably did it 2 minutes before the play.
