My baby sister came to visit for a while right before Mother's Day. I can't believe how big my niece Maya is getting. She is almost 8 months old now and is doing a lot more things than she was doing in January. She is sitting up and smiling and she started saying ma ma while she was here. Tara was so proud. It took Maya a little while to warm up to us, but she liked most of us by the time they went home. Tara said that the flight home was horrible because Maya cried from Denver to Detroit and got some pretty nasty looks. I love traveling with kids!
Allen has put so much work into our backyard. He has done everything by himself, with a little help from a few guys in the neighborhood and work, but the majority he has done by himself. He has hauled two dump truck loads of dirt, leveled out the dirt and removed a ton of rocks (he also found a plastic bag of cat bones in one of the dirt piles). He dug all the trenches and did all the sprinklers and he has started covering the sprinklers. Our neighbor cut out a pathway in his backyard and gave us his extra sod, so we now have grass in the back...only about 3 feet worth, but it is a start.

our backyard here is just big enough for our tramp, we miss our big backyard. way to go allen that is such hard work.
THe yard is coming along! Yeah. That will be so nice to have it done. I loved when we finally got our yard in. The kids loved it too.
Oh that is so much fun! That is what we are doing right now. I am impressed that he does it all by himself. Our yard is so big we hired someone to come and trench it out with his tractor, saved us a whole day tho! I want to come see it when it is all done, and see the awesome playland too!!
you will be so happy when you can just send the kids out back and not worry!!! It makes it all worth it.But it is a pain to do, that is what we did for our anniversary last year oh so fun!!!!
